Roots to Rooftop Tour

Roots to Rooftop is back! Here’s your chance to tour 5 gardens in Springfield, IL! The following gardens will be open to the public with presentations given at each site.

UIS Campus Community Garden
5255 Shepherd Road
Open 9am-12pm, presentations given at 9am & 10am
Parking available in the lot next to Strawbridge-Shepherd house.

The Spartan Garden at Southeast High School
2350 East Ash St.
Open 9am-12pm, presentations given at 10am & 11am
Parking available in the Southeast High School parking lot.

Garden at The Club
300 South 15th Street
Open 11am-2:30pm, presentations given at 11am & 12pm
Parking available in the Boys & Girls Club parking lot.

Butler Elementary School Community Garden
1700 S MacArthur
Open 11am-2:30pm, presentations given at 12pm & 1pm
Parking spaces available along Dial and West Laurel.

Maldaner’s Rooftop Garden
222 South 6th Street
Open 11am-2:30pm, presentations given at 1pm & 2pm
Parking available downtown Springfield and free on weekends.
